2026-11-02 Kubernetes 1.35 and 1.36 now available

Kubernetes 1.35 and 1.36 are now available on our Kubernetes CaaS platform, and new clusters are created on Kubernetes 1.36.

Background
On 2026-11-02 we upgraded the platform that manages your clusters. This brings support for the new Kubernetes versions. Clusters on Kubernetes 1.35 or later also get these new features:

A revocable kubeconfig that can be rotated on request.

Nodegroups on a network shared from another of your OpenStack projects, on request.

A Service range of your choice when a cluster is created, and encryption of Secrets at rest, on request.

No per-pod limit on process IDs.

Faster DNS lookups through Elastx’s own DNS resolvers.

The details are in the changelogs for Kubernetes 1.35 and Kubernetes 1.36.
